The NSW Housing Pattern Book is a collection of home designs aimed at accelerating the development of high-quality, affordable and sustainable housing. Each pattern can be adapted to your preferences and site requirements and are endorsed and eligible for a fast-tracked planning approval process.

It’s now easier to build a Duplex!

Under the state governements new Low and Mid-Rise Housing Policy dual occupancies and semi-detached homes in low-density residential zones (R2) across all of NSW are now permitted. The policy does not apply to properties that are affected by certain hazards and constraints such as flood zones, bushfire prone land, heritage items and conservation zones, and land located close to dangerous goods pipelines and high aircraft noise.
